          Brainstorming workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m.

          Please plan on arriving 10-15 minutes early.
          Reception will follow the workshop at 8:00 p.m.

The goal of this workshop is to identify resources and best practices for international social entrepreneurs. The workshop will help generate new ideas and connections for participants interested in "social venturing” internationally and for those involved in supporting global social entrepreneurship.  

Areas of discussion:
     ·    Facilitating cross-border social innovation and international replication
     ·    Building and benefiting from a global social venture ecosystem
     ·    Leveraging diaspora networks and expat communities
     ·    Engaging consumers in social enterprises for global impact

The American Turkish Society promotes economic, diplomatic, cultural, and educational ties between the United States and Turkey since 1949. Spark provides Social Innovators with an opportunity to explore resources, connections and potential solutions to help their social ventures, by tapping the collective knowledge within Columbia University, and the larger entrepreneurial and social impact community in the New York area and beyond.

This workshop is open to all who are willing to bring their ideas, experience, and connections to help solve social and environmental challenges that these social innovators aim to address.
