Olivia Albrecht ’11
Olivia Albrecht ’11 worked with CONNECT, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to preventing interpersonal violence and promoting gender justice throughout society. By building partnerships with individuals (both male and female) and communities, CONNECT strives to help change the beliefs, behaviors, and institutions that perpetuate violence and disempowerment. Olivia's work focused primarily on CONNECT's real estate needs—namely, the need for affordable New York City office space and a training center as its current lease expires. CONNECT's affordable office space needs are common among NYC nonprofits due to tight operating budgets. Olivia worked on a tactical level to find new affordable nonprofit office space for CONNECT and developed a visionary solution to help more nonprofits share building space in order to minimize operating costs.
