The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was the largest and most ambitious climate legislation ever passed in the United States. After just one year, the IRA has changed the landscape for private investment and public policy, in the U.S. and around the world. .

Join Brian Deese, former director of the National Economic Council at the White House, and principal architect of the Inflation Reduction Act, in conversation with Vijay V. Vaitheeswaran, global energy and climate innovation editor at The Economist, on what is the future of climate and clean energy policy in the wake of the IRA.

 

ABOUT THE CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE NEW AMERICAN ECONOMY SPEAKER SERIES
Climate change – and the pressing need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions – will dramatically alter the American economy in the coming decades. Rapid growth in low-carbon technologies like renewable energy and electric vehicles will impact businesses, shareholders, employees, and consumers. In this speaker series, senior corporate leaders will discuss the implications of climate change on their businesses and the American economy.
