Cameron Brooks

Project Director, Clean Energy Group

Cameron Brooks is Project Director at Clean Energy Group (CEG). CEG is the nonprofit manager of the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA), a multi-state consortium of state clean energy funds that will commit nearly $4 billion to clean energy companies, projects and incentives over the next decade. CESA actively coordinates the activities and joint initiatives of these public sector funders, including initiatives to enhance the implementation of RPS policies, develop regional market opportunities for RECs and direct financial support of renewable energy companies and projects. CEG also works to engage institutional and private equity investors for increased investment activities in clean energy, including transatlantic collaboration with the London-based Carbon Trust and, in partnership with the Investor Network on Climate Risk, managing the activities of a working group of institutional investors exploring opportunities for allocations and investments in clean energy and climate technologies. Previous to joining CEG, Mr. Brooks was assistant director of Mountainfilm, a premier festival of mountaineering, adventure and environmental films founded in 1979, and the first Executive Director of Sheep Mountain Alliance, a citizen-based environmental advocacy organization serving Southwest Colorado founded in 1998. Concurrent with these positions, Mr. Brooks managed an independent energy consultancy specializing in energy efficiency and renewable energy systems.

Mr. Brooks is a graduate of Yale University (Cultural Ecology and Ecologic Design) and the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University (MBA).
