Speaker Biographies

Drew Tulchin

Program Officer, Grameen Foundation USA

Drew Tulchin is a Program Officer with Grameen Foundation USA (www.gfusa.org), where he has worked since 2003. His 12 years of professional experience include microfinance consulting, working for social enterprises, and raising private capital. He served in the first year of AmeriCorps. Of his more than three dozen business plans, Prisma Microfinance's co-written plan was a Global Social Venture Competition award winner and published.

Previous to Grameen, Tulchin was Managing Partner of Social Enterprise Associates, a confederation of consultants united by a common desire to offer affordable professional services that solve real world problems and provide social betterment, www.socialenterprise.net. He continues to author writings on emerging topics in social enterprise. His most recent is Positioning Microfinance Institutions for the Capital Markets.

Tulchin received his MBA at University of Washington. He received his BA, Cum Laude, in History and International Relations from Washington University. Drew plays ultimate Frisbee anywhere he can, hikes to get lost, eats food he doesn't recognize, and enjoys bad puns more than he should.
