Ahkilah Johnson is an Associate of Cherokee
Northeast, LLC, where she focuses on deal origination,
analysis, due diligence and asset management. Cherokee
Northeast, LLC, an affiliate of Cherokee Investment Partners,
LLC, specializes in the acquisition, remediation and sustainable
redevelopment of brownfields. As an Associate, Ms. Johnson
evaluates the market risk, viability and time-line of
projects. She maintains a strong commitment to furthering
Cherokee’s philosophy to promote sustainable redevelopments
that effectuate net positive social, economic and environmental
results for the communities in which they are located.
Prior to joining Cherokee in 2004, Ms. Johnson worked
as a Procurement Agent/Office Engineer in the Purchasing
Department at the Clark Construction Group. She also spent
two years as an Apprentice-Architect with the architecture
firms of Schwartz and Associate Architects and Little
and Associate Architects. As an Apprentice-Architect,
she received her MS in Real Estate Development and Finance
from Columbia University. Ms. Johnson received a BS in
Architecture from the Howard University College of Engineering
Architecture and Computer Sciences, where she was a Trustee
Scholar and the 2001 AIA Henry Adams Scholar. Ms. Johnson
lives in Manhattan, New York.
