Speakers

Arva Rice is Executive Director of Project Enterprise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing New Yorkers with training, support and capital to launch and grow their businesses. She has more than 15 years experience in the non-profit arena, ranging from working with New York City entrepreneurs in a micro lending program to working with young people as a counselor, mentor and tutor. She has extensive experience in collaboration building, strategic planning, fundraising and marketing.

Previously Ms. Rice served as the founding Executive Director of Public Allies New York - a young adult leadership program dedicated to helping develop the next generation of non-profit leaders. She was responsible for board development, fundraising, strategic planning and overall programmatic support.

Ms. Rice has extensive experience in economic development and education including previous positions as the Director of an Economic Literacy Initiative at Girls Incorporated, Technical Assistance Director at the Fund for the City of New York and developing the Sisters Lending Circle where low-income young women receive training in personal money management, saving and investing and small business management. She served on the board of the Central Brooklyn Partnership, and is currently on the board of the North Star Fund.

Ms. Rice graduated from the Northwestern University's School of Education in Evanston, IL.
