Newly arrived at Robin Hood from the National Institute for Early Education Research, Dr. Cynthia Esposito Lamy manages evaluation and “metrics” activities at Robin Hood. Her background is in developmental and educational psychology, focusing especially on children at risk of school failure due to the many influences of poverty. Dr. Lamy has extensive research experience, having directed landmark studies on the effects of early education and experience on children’s academic success, including evaluations of many state preschool systems across the country. At Robin Hood, she is developing comparative benefit-cost analyses of the effects of grantees on clients in a process of converting program outputs into monetized values.
