Neil S. Suslak is a founding partner of Braemar Energy Ventures, a New York City-based venture capital fund devoted to financing companies developing new technologies for the energy markets. The principals at Braemar have one of the longest and most successful records in financing early stage companies in the energy technology sector including such companies as Ballard Fuel Cells, Active Power and AstroPower. Prior to forming Braemar, Mr. Suslak worked in the investment banking business at S.G. Warburg and Co. and Swiss Bank Corporation. While at Swiss Bank, Mr. Suslak was in charge of the bank's equity capital markets business in North America, as well as a director in the corporate finance department covering companies in the energy, communications and transportation sectors. Mr. Suslak has a B.A. from The University of Rochester and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is a former Secretary and member of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Board of the Rye Country Day School and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Henry Street Settlement in New York. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Venture Investors Association of New York and of several of the companies in Braemar’s portfolio.
