Professor Scott Gallin has worked for AIG Global Investment Corp’s Direct Investment Group since 2002. While at AIGGIC he has led investments in a number of growth equity and LBO transactions and is responsible for a portfolio of investments in sectors such as healthcare, consumer products, information technology and transportation. He is a Director of Faith Media Holdings, Everest Connections and Body Shop of America. Prior to joining AIG, he worked for Kluge & Co., the private equity arm of Metromedia Company.

Professor Gallin serves on the Advisory Board of the Adolescent Health Center, an affiliate of Mt. Sinai Hospital, and is an informal advisor to the Acumen Fund. He has also worked as a pro bono consultant for the Children’s Aid Society, a non-profit organization based in New York City that provides healthcare and other social services to children and their families, and Helen Keller International’s Child Sight Program, a national program that provides eye care and corrective prescriptions to economically disadvantaged children.

Professor Gallin is a graduate of Columbia Business School and also has earned graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He was also awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1995 and spent a year at McGill University in Montreal conducting research in labor and health economics. Professor Gallin currently lives in South Orange, NJ with his wife, Nina, and daughter, Hannah.
