Don Feil
President and CEO, EnterpriseWorks/VITA (EWV)

Don Feil is President/CEO of EnterpriseWorks/VITA (EWV), an international development organization that combats poverty by helping small producers and other entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses that create jobs and increase productivity, market opportunities and incomes.  EWV achieves this by expanding access to appropriate technologies, technical assistance, knowledge and finance.

Before joining EnterpriseWorks, Feil served as vice president for Counterpart International (CPI), a leading international development organization with programs in over 30 countries.  In this role, Feil oversaw the programmatic and financial strategy for the Enterprise Development Division.  As part of Feil’s responsibilities he designed and managed CPI’s portfolio of loan programs.  Feil also served as managing director for the Counterpart Enterprise Fund from 1999-2001.  As managing director, Feil was responsible for the launch of USAID Russia’s small business lending program in the Russian Far East which continues today as the only sustainable small business loan facility in the region.

From 2001-2003, Feil simultaneously served as CEO of EnviroVentures, Inc., a for-profit, OPIC-funded equity investment fund for environmentally inclined small businesses located in the Philippines.
