Trey Taylor
Co-Founder, President, & Head of Market Development, Verdant Power, Inc.

Trey Taylor has more than 35 years of accomplishments in marketing and communications with firms such as ITT Corporation, British Telecom, Procter & Gamble, and Ogilvy & Mather.  He is recognized as an expert in advocacy and issues advertising through trade associations such as Edison Electric Institute and the US Committee on Energy Awareness.  He has managed communication programs for numerous coalitions including; The Committee on Jobs, Environment, and Technology.  He also helped produce several nationally known public affairs TV shows including “The McLaughlin Group” and “Make Peace with Nature.” In March 2000, he co-founded Verdant Power – a company producing hydroelectric power without dams.  He was acknowledged in Esquire magazine as being one of “America’s Best and Brightest.”  He served on Boards of the Hydro Research Foundation and National Hydropower Association; and is a charter board member of the Ocean Renewable Energy Coalition and a co-chairman of the CEO Council of the American Council on Renewable Energy.  Prior to that, he was the founder and president of the Interactive Marketing Institute and consulted with BGE and Price Waterhouse World Utilities Group.
