Laura B. Resnikoff '76, Private Equity Program Director, Columbia Business School

Laura B. Resnikoff has been a member of the Columbia Business School faculty since 1991. In the fall of 2007, Professor Resnikoff was appointed the first Director of Columbia Business School’s newly formed Private Equity Program. Professor Resnikoff has taught a series of electives, including Turnaround Management and the Master Class in Restructuring, one of the School’s inaugural Master Class offerings. In spring 2008, she offered the inaugural Master Class in Private Equity. In spring 2009, she will offer another new elective, in Dubai, “Investment Evolution and Opportunities in the MENA (Middle East/North African) Region.”

Professor Resnikoff joined the faculty after a robust career with both large scale corporations and private equity entities. She has extensive global experience with private equity transactions, fund raising and debt placements. During her Columbia Business School tenure, she has consulted with corporations in a variety of industries - as well as selected nonprofit organizations - on all aspects of organizational, operational and financial restructurings.
