Martin Smith, CEO and Founder, JustMeans
Martin Smith is the CEO and Founder of JustMeans, an online platform that
helps companies utilize social media to calculate the return on investment
(ROI) of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Prior to
JustMeans, Mr. Smith founded and grew StartingBloc to an international
social enterprise, establishing partnerships with Goldman Sachs, General
Electric, Starbucks, the World Bank and most of the top business schools in
the world. Mr. Smith was also the youngest person in North America to be
invested in by Ashoka: Innovators for the Public.
Prior to StartingBloc, Mr. Smith worked in the Neuroscience department of
the University of Chicago Hospitals. He is a member of the selection
committee for the Reynolds Graduate Fellowship in Social Enterprise at NYU
Wagner and an advisory board member of the International Youth Foundation
and ImmediacyNow.
Martin Smith holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
