Krista Thompson, Global Health Vice President and General Manager, Becton, Dickinson & Company

ThompsonKrista Thompson works across all business segments to help increase the effectiveness and impact of BD’s technologies and services on HIV/AIDS, TB and other infectious diseases. She is also responsible for identifying new technologies to meet the demands of future global health issues. Ms. Thompson and the BD team collaborate with key international organizations including: the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, UNICEF, the World Economic Forum, the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation, the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), the Catholic Medical Mission Board and Save the Children.

She began her BD career as a Product Manager in 1996 and was named the Director of Marketing in Europe in 1997. In 1999, she was appointed VP/General Manager of North America Preanalytical Solutions, which she held until the creation of her current role in 2004.

Ms. Thompson has a BS in Medical Technology from Indiana University and an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.
