Students

A select group of students from Columbia University elect to spent their summers engaged in ventures that create social and environmental value, beyond the traditional summer internship.

These fellowships take place at nonprofit, government or nongovernmental organizations, for-profit and nonprofit social ventures, and social venture capital firms; students from various schools across Columbia University intern with social ventures. Fellows help organizations across a range of projects and issues using skills they have learned in their programs of study, including strategic planning, start-up business plan development, marketing and product strategies, financial analysis, operational improvements, and performance evaluation.
