Speaker Biographies

C. Perry Yeatman

Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Unilever, North America

As Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Unilever Home and Personal Care-North America, Perry is responsible for all aspects of Unilever’s internal communications, community relations, media relations and public affairs/issues management. She leads Corporate Affairs for the company in both the United States and Canada, and serves on the board of HPC-NA and the Unilever US Foundation.

Prior to joining for Unilever, Perry Yeatman was a consultant working across all facets of communications, from public affairs to corporate positioning, crisis/issues management to media relations, sports marketing to advertising. Perry’s communications expertise is further enhanced by the breadth of her international experience, having spent ten years living outside the U.S., managing multinational client assignments across Asia Pacific, The Middle East, Russia, the CIS, Western and Eastern Europe and Latin America for Burson-Marsteller and Shandwick plc.

Perry’s industry experience is equally diverse, including energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, IT, financial services, branded goods, fast food, travel/tourism and education. During her 15 plus years as a consultant, Perry’s clients included Johnson & Johnson, Citibank, Chase Bank, Anheuser-Busch, McDonald's, Chevron, Intel, Nortel, VISA, BMS, Nestle, Hilton and Tetra Pak, to name a few. In addition, Perry worked in the DuPont public affairs department at the company's headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.

Prior to joining Unilever in 2000, Perry was a managing director in Burson-Marsteller’s London office for three years, where she was responsible for managing an international team working for Unilever, focusing on world-wide corporate reputation management. Perry was also responsible for leading corporate communication efforts in Unilever Central and Eastern Europe and Unilever Latin America. Prior to moving to London, Perry worked for Burson-Marsteller in Russia and Singapore, three years in each office. Perry joined Burson-Marsteller from Shandwick plc.

Perry’s programs have won local, regional and national recognition including the prestigious Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil and a Gold Sabre award.

Perry received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia. She currently resides in Westport, Connecticut and New York City.
