Julie Hertzog is
Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The After-School
Corporation (TASC), which was established in 1998 by George Soros's
Open Society Institute to create innovative after-school programs that
are publicly supported and widely available. Before joining TASC, she
was Chief Operations Officer for the New York City program of the Local
Initiatives Support Corporation, a national community development intermediary.
Her other prior experience includes legislative affairs positions with
the New York City Office of Management and Budget and a Member of the
United States House of Representatives. She was a participant in the
CORO Fellows program in New York City, earned an MBA from Columbia University,
and attended Smith College.
