Speaker Biographies

Robert L. Waldron

President and CEO, Jumpstart

Robert Waldron recently served as a Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and worked to enhance the quality and accountability of Web-based curriculum for children pre-K to sixth grade. Prior to his fellowship, Rob served as CEO of SCORE! Learning Centers, the second largest after-school tutoring company in the United States. Under his leadership, the organization grew from 13 centers and less than $2 million in revenue to over 150 centers nationwide with annual revenues exceeding $50 million. He was formerly vice president of Kaplan, where he started the Kaplan After School Program. Mr. Waldron is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Northwestern University. He is member of Young Presidents’ Organization, a member of the Board of Directors of Advanced Career Technologies, and an Adviser to Vanu, Inc. He has been called a “truly remarkable leader” by the Washington Post Company and been featured in many publications, including the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and the Chicago Tribune.
